KATHMANDU — A box office system has been introduced in Kathmandu valley from Tuesday.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota, launched the system — much sought in the film sector in Nepal– amid a programme organised at Film Development Board here on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Minister Baskota informed that the box office system was launched to make the investment in film secure and promote transparency.
“With the box office in place, the film sector would be promoted,” he said, adding that it would help generate revenue to the State as well.
The box office will be launched in movie theatre outside the valley from coming February.
